Why I prefer lifestyle newborn sessions.
Once upon a time, I attempted all the posed baby photos. However, I wasn’t creatively fulfilled and I knew that there was something missing. For me, it lacked the emotion and the raw authenticity that I desired for my clients.
I have said it before I love posed newborn photography. I think done right it is adorable and I want to eat up every baby. But I desire something a little more. I want to document intimacy and the love parents feel when they bring home a newborn.

We all know that posed photography is the norm for newborns. With traditional poses, you're carefully controlling what your baby does and where he/she looks; whereas in natural baby-led posing (also called "relaxed"), it's okay if their little legs are sprawled out or head fallen back--they should look happy! They need to be cared for, protected from harm's way in the studio (or in your home) I only place them on a comfortable daybed so they can wiggle, stretch their legs while wearing an outfit or being wrapped up tightly with swaddle blankets which will keep your baby cozy all morning long!
