There is no denying that Motherhood is hard, but Hard with a capital โH.โ
In a world where time flies by so quickly, we should all make an effort to appreciate the moments in our lives and enjoy every minute of them. But I get it sometimes it really is so hard, and itโs easy for anyone to say, โenjoy every minute, it goes so fast!โ Because let me tell you what, in the morning when my two big kids are fighting and the littlest is crying at my feet, that, that I do not enjoy. While maybe one day when they are 16 and are having 16-year-old issues I might miss the crying and fighting. But that doesnโt mean I have to enjoy the fights. and crying.
I am okay with that; every stage is so different and every stage has its own set of challenges. Where you sit today, and the challenges you are facing at this exact moment in time are the biggest challenges you have faced, and as time goes on you will face new challenges, some big and some small.
Something new I have been trying is giving myself a little more grace as a mother. The permission to not enjoy every single moment, to take a deep breath and be okay.
I do agree life does go by fast, and kids grow up even faster.
So, what do we do? We canโt make time stop or even slow down, and we canโt wish the challenges away. What can we do?? Love it. Cherish it. Preserve it. Document it.
