New Philadelphia, Ohio \\ South Side Community Park
As a New Philadelphia, Ohio family photographer, I often find myself jealous of my counterparts in other states who have access to stunning landscapes and picturesque backdrops. However, I've also come to appreciate Ohio's unique challenges. This state can push my creativity, forcing me to think outside the box to capture memorable images.
Ultimately, I'm proud to call Ohio home, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to capture the beautiful stories of families from all across this great state.
In my small local community, one of my favorite places to shoot small family sessions is the New Philadelphia, South Side Community Park.
Yes, 100% open to the public. If you are a photographer looking to shoot at this location, there are no hoops to jump through you just meet your client at the park and have a great time!
The park is well maintained and offers minimal distractions for little humans. ๐
Even if you arenโt looking to have your family pictures taken in the park, itโs a great place to take your family for an outing. There are also plans to expand the park and offer even more value to Tuscarawas County and surrounding county communities.
Currently, the park includes:
Two access points:
Main entrance off of Old Town Valley
Back entrance intersection of Sandy and Perry Drive
Small Trails
Two Pedestrian Bridges
Parking Lots at both entrances
Stand-alone restroom
Dog Park (Closed Dec-March Weather Permitting)
Butterfly Garden
The South Side Park is also the place for the New Philadelphia High School soccer fields and the local Pee-Wee football teams.
