How often should you take family photos?

Daily if not weekly! 😂

Just kidding... That would be a little much.

The best advice I can give you for your family's photo session is that it should be tailored specifically to what matters and feels right. Some years are full of big change, while other decades bring about moments, we'll never forget with new discoveries every day! No matter how much growth there may have been in the last 365 days- from babies becoming toddlers all the way up until teenagers growing into adulthood - take time each year (or whenever) to document their changing shapes through these memorable photos which will become priceless treasures at some point down the future line.

Typically, I would say that yearly photos would be ideal. But I am more realistic than that, and I understand that family photos are a luxury and not something that every family can budget each year. With that said, family photos every 2-5 years would be my answer.

It's always a challenge to come up with new ideas to keep things fresh for my clients who come back year after year. But I love a challenge, and it's one of the things that I enjoy most about my job. I want my clients to have a unique experience every time they book a session with me. That means coming up with new concepts, finding new locations and props, and generally thinking outside the box. It's all worth it when I see the smiles on my clients' faces when they see their photos. Knowing that I was able to give them something special that they'll cherish for years to come is why I do what I do.
