Back in Action: A Ghoulishly Good Photoshoot for Halloween 2023!

It’s been quite some time since my last blog post. Life can surely whisk us away, but I am excited to announce that I am back with a festive flourish.

Let's set the scene: Halloween is upon us, and Ohio's crisp fall air has an additional chill, thanks to the Ghost Halloween Trend taking over this year. From New Philadelphia's streets to major cities' outskirts, ghostly vibes are all the rage. And who am I to resist the call of the spooky season?

As an Ohio Photographer, I've always been drawn to capturing the magic in ordinary moments. There’s something quite extraordinary about transforming everyday life into art. And so, with the hauntingly beautiful atmosphere of New Philadelphia as my backdrop, I decided to embark on a mini-photography project right in my backyard!

I gathered my kids and draped them in white sheets (with some creative cuts for those ethereal effects), and within 5 minutes we were immersed in our very own ghost-themed photoshoot. The challenge? To capture the essence of this year’s Ghost Halloween Trend in the shortest amount of time. The results were both eerie and enchanting.

Floating above the fallen autumn leaves, their silhouettes were a stark contrast against the rustic hues of the October twilight. The pictures captured not just the trend but also the innocence and mischief of childhood against the backdrop of Halloween’s magic.

This quick 5-minute photoshoot is a testament to the fact that you don't need grand setups or extensive planning to create memorable moments. All you need is a bit of creativity, the right atmosphere, and a dash of spontaneity.
